Advocates Lutfur Rahman and Nasir Uddin Khan have been elected president and general secretary of Sylhet district unit of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) respectively for next three years.

AL general secretary Obaidul Quader announced their names during the triennial council of Sylhet district and city units of the party in Alia Madrasa ground in the town’s Chowhatta on Thursday afternoon.

Previously, Lutfur Rahman was the acting president of the unit while Nasir Uddin was the joint secretary in the last committee.
